Quick links, as the name suggests, are used to quickly repair or connect chains in the field, even without the help of special tools. They are used to add chains together for increased length, in rigging and in climbing operations. Quick links come in a variety of shapes which are used for different types of loads and load directions. Baron Hardware, America’s Leading Hardware Distributor & Supplier has an always-ready stock of quick links both in stainless steel and in zinc plated steel which are sure to come in handy if you are in Construction, Marine or in the Mining industries.

Quick links come in different metal combinations for different functions. If you are looking for long term/permanent use, especially in the outdoors, picking our stainless steel connecting hardware would be a wise choice. Since the stainless steel quick links are rust-resistant and hardy, they are capable of holding up against harsh weather and moist atmosphere. Stainless steel quick links are especially suited to the salty and wet marine environment. Using stainless steel quick links and chainlinks in marine vessels for rigging would actually save costs in the long run.

The zinc plated steel variety of quick links are lighter than the stainless steel ones and are more suited to less permanent usage. They are ideal for quick connection of chain, cable and wire rope and can be tightened with bare hands. Zinc plated quick links are highly reusable, but are not advised for use in overhead lifting. As long as toads adhere to the recommended working load limits, these quick connecting hardware come in extremely handy in field operations.

Quick links come in different shapes too, so you can pick the ones most suited for your application. The oval ones are generally used for linear applications such as in pulley ropes and in sports netting, while the delta and square shaped ones are better for loads pulling in different directions, in webbing, harnesses, etc.
